Thank You, DC

"Autumn is a time for travelling, where other seasons are not. In Autumn, things fly off trees, and float down streams, and waft, and roam."
- Finegan Kruckemeyer, At Sea, Staring Up
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce that The Winter’s Tale will be The Wheel Theatre Company’s final production in DC.

Since 2016, we have delighted in sharing our theatrical vision to the DC arts community. With your support, we have produced a North American Premiere, a Regional Premiere, two World Premiere adaptations, two Kennedy Center Page-to-Stage readings and are delighted to be ending our DC with Shakespeare, a playwright near and dear to our co-founders’ hearts.

We at The Wheel Theatre Company like to say that a wheel is only as strong as the spokes that hold it up. By seeing a production, following our social media, helping to spread the word, donating or even by simply being a part of the arts community in DC, you have been a spoke that has made us stronger. Thank you.

Our most sincere thanks to DC Arts Center, ECAC, DC Metro Theatre Arts, DC Theatre Scene, MD Theatre Guide, The Washington City Paper, The Kennedy Center, Dance Place, Dance Loft, Capital Concerts, Finegan Kruckemeyer, Owen Panettieri, all of our financial supporters and the incredible cast and crews that have made our work possible. You have become our family and we will forever be grateful to you.

But the news is not all sad!

The Wheel is delighted to share that we are moving to Nashville, Tennessee to join the thriving arts community. We look forward to sharing our unique voice with the Nashville community beginning in 2020 (conveniently the same year our co-founders are getting married!).

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

With Ever Accumulating Love,
The Wheel Theatre Company
