Cast
Lee Havlicek (she/her) is a writer, producer, and actor. Favorite roles include Rosalind in As You Like It and Viola in Twelfth Night (Columbia University MFA Directing Program), and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Goneril in King Lear (Empty Chair Theatre Company). She wrote, produced, and featured in her short film Summer, a selection at Buffalo International Film Festival, Film Columbia, and Flathead Lake International Cinemafest. She is currently working on a script for a feature-length film.
Mackenzie Larsen (she/her) is excited to be working with The Wheel for the first time. Recent theatre credits include Audrey (As You Like It), Chorus (Electra), Grace (Dogville), Hermione (The Winter's Tale), and Mrs. Webb (Our Town).
Colton Needles (he/him) is honored to be a part of The Wheel's last show in the DC Area. The Wheel: Dorn in The Seagull, Emmett in A Burial Place. DC AREA: The Wedding Singer (NextStop Theatre Company), Assassins (NextStop Theatre Company), God is Dead and April's Getting Married (DC Fringe Festival), Our Town (Annapolis Shakespeare Company), Hamlet (Compass Rose Theater). REGIONAL: They're Playing Our Song (Neil Simon Festival). OTHER: RENT, Next to Normal, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Henry V, Merrily We Roll Along, Fiddler on the Roof, Romeo and Juliet. Axandre Oge (pronounced: Eks - and - jri Oh - Gee) (he/him) plays Camillo in Winter's Tale. Maria Simpkins (she/her) is making her debut with the Wheel. A movement-based performer this will be her 2nd show in the DMV since relocating from Detroit. Some past credits include Lady in Red; For Colored girls, Beatrice; Much Ado about Nothing, Hester, La Negrita; In the Blood, Beneatha; A Rasin in the Sun. She is trained in commedia dell'arte, mime, hand to hand, belly dance, tango, salsa, jazz, heels and hip hop. Her specialties are ensemble based and devised works. She defines herself as a Creatavist: person who constructs spaces for positive change.
Aron Spellane (he/him) is an actor, dancer, and musician in the DC area. Recent credits include KJ in Annie Jump and the Library of Heaven (Rorschach Theatre), Konstantin in The Seagull (The Wheel), Senator Laius/Mr. Xyclo in Anon(ymous) (Theatre Prometheus), Morgan/Isaiah in Riot Brrrain (Capital Fringe Festival), and Ben in Soldier Poet (Theatre Prometheus). Education: BA in Theatre from Macalester College. When not on stage, Aron is a bookslinger, an urban cowboy, and a cat dad.
Shaquille Stewart (he/him) is more than ecstatic to be making his debut with The Wheel Theatre Company alongside this dope ass cast of talented actors. Previous credits include Othello with the National Players(Othello), #poolparty with Ally Theatre Company(Ro), Hamlet in OP at Baltimore Shakespeare Factory(Polonius) and most recently The Tarot Reading at the Anacostia Arts Center. Theatre is the mirror of our human condition, the power of its expression, big thanks to friends, fam, and the production team for their unending support. Enjoy the show!
Moira Todd (she/her) Local credits include Constellation Theatre Company: The Master and Margarita; Theatre Alliance: The Raid; Imagination Stage: Wake Up Brother Bear, Charlotte's Web; The Keegan Theatre: The Reluctant Dragon. National Players: Hamlet, The Giver, The Grapes of Wrath. Regional theatre credits include The Oregon Shakespeare Festival: Fingersmith. Moira holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Southern Oregon University. She can be seen on stage at Synetic Theatre's Snow Queen in December.

Elizabeth Floyd (she/her) Previously with The Wheel, Elizabeth was Emma the Greek in At Sea, Staring Up, Polina inThe Seagull and played the pivotal role of the dead body in The Blind. She also designed and built a magical garden in a trunk and a jag out of a mop handle among other props for At Sea, Staring Up, built a seagull for The Seagull, created a dog puppet for The Blind and turned DCAC into a storage shed for A Burial Place (which she also directed).
Emily MacLeod (she/her) is a PhD candidate at the George Washington University where she teaches British literature. Her research interests include early modern drama, performance, and critical race and disability studies. She works as a dramaturg with Brave Spirits Theatre in Virginia and TheatreTruck in western Massachusetts. Her favorite gig is directing high school students at the American Shakespeare Center Theater Camp, where she met both Jack Read and Elizabeth Floyd. What a delight to be collaborating with them again as part of The Wheel!

He directed The Wheel's inaugural production of Finegan Kruckemeyer's At Sea, Staring Up (North American Premiere), Maurice Maeterlinck's The Blind (which he also adapted) for Capital Fringe, Matt Minnicino's Some Pictures of the Floating World, Matthew Capodicasa's The City in the City in the City for Kennedy Center's Page-to-Stage Festival and Anton Chekhov's The Seagull (which is also adapted).
